Meet Our Eye Doctors in Grove
Eyecare of Grand Lake provides innovative eye care services to patients from in and around Grove. We offer comprehensive eye health assessments, ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, contact lens evaluation and fitting, and prescriptions.
We welcome new patients and accept most major forms of insurance.
Dr. Barnwell is the owner of Eyecare of Grand Lake. Her approach to optometry is to provide each patient with a personalized exam based on their specific needs. She developed a passion for optometry while she was in high school, working for Dr. Yandell, and decided at that time she wanted to be an optometrist.
Dr. Barnwell grew up in Jay, Oklahoma and graduated from Jay High School in 2005. In 2010, Dr. Barnwell graduated from Northeastern State University, in Tahlequah, with a degree in cellular biology. She graduated from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, also in Tahlequah, in 2016. Since that time, Dr. Barnwell has been working for Harrel Eyecare, the leading eyecare provider in Tulsa. During her time with Harrel, Dr. Barnwell has refined her skills in diagnosing and treating ocular surface disease, glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration.
Dr. Barnwell has a special interest in both pediatrics and ocular surface diseases (such as dry eye). She thoroughly enjoys what she does, and hopes each patient leaves seeing better and feeling taken care of.
Dr. Barnwell and her husband, Case live in Jay with their two boys, Caleb and Brooks. In their free time you will find them fishing, farming, eating or sometimes shopping (if Jordan ever gets a say).
Dr. Yandell is a native Oklahoman, growing up in Durant, Oklahoma where he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University earning his undergraduate degree in science.
After teaching for one year he began his optometric education in Memphis, Tennessee at Southern College of Optometry in 1974, graduating in 1979.
Dr. Yandell moved to Grove, Oklahoma in 1979 and opened his private practice. He has practiced optometry in Grove for 42 years. His primary concern is eye health.
Dr. Yandell is pleased to be joining the staff of Eyecare of Grand lake and continuing to provide eyecare for the Grove and Grand Lake area.
